Illustrator, Indesign, After Effects

A multimedia visual identity for Josef Müller-Brockmann, renowned Swiss designer. Known to many as the “father of grids,” my goal with this project was to showcase Müller-Brockmann’s moral principles in addition to his brilliant design sense. For this project, I created a booklet, animation, poster, website, and mobile application.

BOOKLET:

This 16 page booklet showcases Müller-Brockmann‘s extensive impact in the field of graphic design, including his work as an author, educator, and pioneer of the International Typographic style.

ANIMATION:

This animation dives into the interworkings of Müller-Brockmann’s design philosophy,  pairing a famous interview of his with an animation that shows his distinct usage of color, shape, typography, and grids.

POSTER:

This poster explores Müller-Brockmann‘s prolific use of grid systems
and primary color usage while introducing his strict moral code against designing for cigarette companies and other harmful products.

I created the font spelling “Müller-Brockmann” through handmade shapes I created using with the pen tool in Illustrator.
